Each and every year, my daughter comes home after trick or treating and proudly dumps out all her candy on the table. I feel horrible throwing out all the candy I think is questionable, but as a parent my main concern is to keep her safe. I hate the idea that in turn, some parents end up throwing out the candy I bought but obviously they have no way of knowing that my candy is safe. Dunkin' Donuts is giving away coffee all day today at all of its locations in Chicago and the suburbs as a consolation for not winning the Olympic bid. No purchase is necessary.
