CoolSavings offers lots of great
Printable Coupons. Here are some tips to make sure everyone is able to print them successfully.
The first time you try to print a coupon, it will trigger the download of a small application necessary for printing, called the Coupon Printer. If you run into any problems with printing, please review the following information regarding the Coupon Printer:
Why the Coupon Printer is Needed:
The Coupon Printer allows for high-quality coupons that will scan at the register. It also controls the number of coupons that can be printed in order to prevent fraud.
Compatible Operating Systems:
* Windows XP or Vista using Internet Explorer 6.0 and higher, or Firefox 1.0 and higher
* Macs running OSX 10.4 (Tiger) or 10.5 (Leopard), and using Apple’s Safari browser
*
Note: CompuServe, Linux and Web TV systems are not compatible.
Compatible Printers:
* Stand-alone or multi-function models that can produce a resolution of at least 300 dpi
*
Note: The coupons cannot be saved to your desktop for printing sometime later or elsewhere.
Firewalls:
Computers in corporate environments or public access places often have firewalls that can prevent users from downloading the Coupon Printer. If you run into this problem, please try printing from home if possible.
Spyware-Removal Software:
Please make sure you have the latest updates for any spyware-removal software on your computer. Industry leaders like Symantec, McAfee, and Trend Micro recognize the Coupon Printer as safe and secure in their most recent versions.
ActiveX Settings:
If the above situations do not apply, please make sure your browser settings are configured to enable the download of ActiveX applications such as the Coupon Printer. If you are using Windows XP or Vista, a yellow information bar should appear at the top of your window. It can only appear if your security levels are set to “Medium” and all ActiveX items are set to “Prompt” or “Enable”.
"Already printed all offers" Error Message:
SmartSource, the company who hosts CoolSavings' coupons, has a print limit of 2 times on any one computer. If you share a computer with other users, they could have used those prints already. Also, offers can expire if the total number that the manufacturer made available has been met. This can be the case with popular items.
