Being a working parent isn't easy, especially because the work does not end when you get home! Like most working parents, the greeting I usually get when I walk through the door is "What's for Dinner?" I try to cook for my family as often as possible—which is why I'm so excited that CoolSavings has introduced a new
Recipes section full of quick, delicious recipes.
My favorite feature about the
Recipes section is that when you type in your zip code, you get a list of recipes featuring ingredients that are currently on sale at your local grocery store! The sale items will appear in bold within the recipe and all the recipes can be easily printed out.
If you need some dinner ideas tonight, here is one of the recipes I found on CoolSavings that I will be using for dinner this week:
Angel Hair Pasta
2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 skinless, boneless chicken breast, cut up
12 oz. angel hair pasta
2 carrots, sliced
1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen broccoli florets, thawed
2 cloves garlic, minced
2/3 cups chicken broth
1 tsp. dried basil
1/4 cup grated parmesan
Boil water for pasta and cook. Heat the oil in a medium sized skillet. Add chicken to skillet and remove when cooked. Add carrots and cook for 4 minutes. Add broccoli and garlic. Cook for 2 minutes. Add chicken broth, basil and parmesan to skillet.
Return chicken to skillet. Reduce heat and simmer. Drain pasta. Top with chicken and veggies.
