Gas Price Survival Guide
Just a quick post today...I'm hoping this Gas Price Pain Relievers guide from the NRDC will help you cope with these unbearably high prices. They say their advice could save you about $800 a year! They also include a very well-researched (they looked at 256 different car models) table that shows you how much you can save according to the make and model car you drive! CoolSavings also has a 10-point article called Great Gas-Saving Tips and of course, online coupons for your automotive needs.

Comment by Karen Bennett on July 23, 2008 at 3:05pm - Great link. It's interesting that "driving smart" generates the biggest savings (over "maintenance" and "commuting less"). I use the seemingly popular strategy of consolidating my errands, especially when going one or two suburbs over. I also seek out destinations as close to home as possible when it comes to parks, restaurants, grocery or clothing stores, etc. We try to save the bigger trips for visits to relatives in the more distant burbs.
