Angie's List----------> what would I do without you?!?

I have recently been working on remodeling some parts of my house. This isn't an easy task, let me tell you! What started as a small kitchen job turned into a total restoration of the kitchen, two bathrooms, the garage door, and roof. Not only has this become the focus of most of my attention, it has put a dent in my husband and I's bank account! In this current economy, it is crucial to save money and take advantage of all resources available.

In January, my next door neighbors had their roof redone. It turned out great so I decided to ask them 1. who did the work 2. how much it cost and 3. if they were satisfied with the business as a whole. Tina told me that they came across the company on www.Angieslist.com. Angieslist.com is an online website that allows users to rate and review local contractors, handy men, mechanics, painters, and such. They have a little video that is available here that explains the concept more in depth.

I logged onto angieslist.com and discovered that there is a membership fee. I searched the internet for angieslist discounts. I found a angieslist discount that saved me 25% on my subscription.

I am a strong believer that this is one of the most cost effective sites out there. For a small monthly fee, you can stay clear of contractors and roofers that could possibly take advantage of you. There are some real perks to being a member of angieslist.com. Whenever I call a contractor or roofer now, I tell them I am a member and they automatically have that much more respect for my business because they know if they don't treat me right, others will find out about it through angieslist.com .


Lucky for me I haven't had a bad experince yet during my remodel. I thank angieslist for this!
