Thanksgiving Freebies, Frugal Recipes – and More Coupons!

Are you trying to give thanks this year with an abundant feast, yet stick to a budget at the same time? If so, remember to keep to the basics. Fancy dishes can be way more difficult to make, and a long ingredient list can really add up at the checkout!

Here’s a delicious-sounding recipe I can’t wait to try for Whipped Sweet Potato Bake which calls for four ingredients you likely already have around the house, along with three cans of sweet potatoes and three cups of marshmallows. To save on the butter, print this coupon for 55 cents off from Land O'Lakes butter. * Note that it says you can substitute pumpkin pie spice for the other three spices in the recipe.

This recipe from Kraft for Ranch Mashed Potatoes only calls for potatoes, cauliflower and ranch dressing. You can add a little butter for added flavor, or to make it healthier skip the butter and use a light version of the ranch dressing.
